This is what happens most evenings

Mommy takes out her camera to try and take pics of us.

Balboa: "Don't look Anthony she has that camera again."

Balboa: "want to play Anthony, since mommy is too busy with that stupid camera?"

Anthony: "Yeah, lets play and ignore her, but she won't let go of your toy." Mommy still holding onto MY toy
Balboa: "Maybe you can play tug with me?" Anthony trying to stretch up to talk with me

Anthony: "I don't have any teeth yet to grab onto the toy, see." Anthony showing me inside of his mouth

Balboa: "Whoa what is that noise?" Listening and being on guard

Balboa: "Oh, its just bags of clean clothes mommy hasn't put away yet. There so
filled with clothes they are falling over."

Balboa: "Whoa, gotta fart. Oh that felt good."

Anthony: "That stinks, worse than my diapers." Anthony diapers stink REALLY REALLY BAD

Balboa: "Yeah, I'm pretty proud of myself. Stick with me and
I'll teach you how to stink out the house."

Anthony: "Heee, Heee, Heee. Between, you, me and daddy, maybe we can stink

her out and she'll drop the camera."

Anthony: "Or maybe she'll drop the remote and we can watch something

other than lifetime movies." Mommy watches too much lifetime stuff, even daddy says so

So much going on.....

The best part about celebrating a new year MY BIRTHDAY IS FOUR DAYS LATER!!!!!

I had a great Christmas, I got to destroy boxes and got some great toys. I got to taste all the food around the table, and of course gave lots of stinky farts. Who doesn't love stinky Frenchie farts????

Hey, if your not a fart lover, its better than super stinky Anthony diapers, man that stuff can kill you.

Anthony is still here, and now he likes to scream so loud. What is up with that??? And he is a crazy dude. I think he is trying to destroy the house, starting with this toys.

Thanks for all your well wishes about Anthony, he is doing much better. He is back to "army crawling" all over the floor. What is "army crawling" well according to mommy it is when a baby is too young to normall crawl. So they crawl on their arms and stomach. And, boy can Anthony do that all over the living room floor. He's taking over the whole place.

He's supposed to stay on that play mat, but OH NO, he's gotta move all around. See!!!! See his legs on the rug!!!!!

I hope I get all this lovin' on Christmas Eve. Mommy and daddy are having Christmas Eve at our place. MOmmy's parents, sister and Brother-in-law are all coming over. I better get extra butt rubs, and EXTRA FOOD. OR I WILL PEE ALL OVER THE PLACE, YEAH YOU HEARD ME. PEE ALL OVER THE PLACE.

MY NEW FRIEND:

I have a new friend, she's all mine and Anthony can't have her!!!!!

My mom put an add in our complex for a high school student to help out during weekdays by walking me so I can do my business. Well Caroline responded, I like her, she lets me sniff whatever I want for as long as I want and thinks its funny. She thinks I'm cute and asks for kisses all the time. She gives me a puperoni after each walk.

The best part is mommy has to pay her, ha ha ha

HE'S SICK:

Anthony has been pretty sick which means that I get deprived of my precious beauty sleep.

He's always coughing, snoring and making noises when he breathes. Mommy has to give him medicine out of a machine to help him stop making noises.

I think is called broncho-lightus. I never heard of that, How do you get sick with bronco that lights up???? Figures only ANthony would get that. So I hope he gets better soon, SO I CAN GO BACK TO SLEEP.

I guess that I am one super cool dog, because I think Anthony wants to be like me.

Lately he has been making noises like me. He has been growling and grunting and trying to eat everything that is in his reach. I swear I think he is has even tried to grab me just to bit on me. Even mommy said that he is trying to be like me.

Now I know you think I am exxagerating or going crazy so I got the proof!!!!!!

Now do you believe me??????? Do you see the look on my face? What is going on? Maybe I should start acting like him?

So after reading Jake and Just Harry's post on how they get place cards on the table I began to think..

I am older than Anthony and have lived with mom and dad longer too. Therefore, shouldn't I get what he gets or more?!?!?!?! I know he's a baby and can't eat or drink on his own, heck he can't even go outside to poop. He gets to poop in the house in his diaper. Seriously if I did that, well I think you know what would happen!!!!!

I should get to sit at the table on my own chair, I should get a huge bed with lots of wood to chew on, I should get what everyone else is eating on a plate, I should get my own room WITH MY CHOICE OF PAINT COLOR. I actually like the color blue they chose, but that's not the point. I want to be able to choose.

So, I have a feeling that I may not get all that or even some of that. So my only hope is to wait until Anthony starts talking and get him to help me out. So I guess I better be nice to him, maybe I can start by taste testing his baby food to make sure its safe to eat and chewing his toys to make sure they are safe to play with, and chewing his socks to make sure they are resistent to tears. Yeah, that will definately show Anthony I am his buddy. I just hope he starts talking soon.

Now I'll say goodnight, at least I have the couch all to myself..... for now.

Thanksgiving morning

I spent Thanksgiving morning being forced to pose in front of the fake fireplace with Anthony. Poor little guy doesn't realize its a fake. Sure it has hot air coming out of it, but a real fire would have been better.

They bribed me with cookies, but I would have looked at the camera if they gave me cheese. At least I didn't have to wear a stupid turkey outfit like someone I know, hint hint.

I promise to do a better job of blogging. I have been very busy keeping an eye on Anthony. At first he just would lay down and cry and eat, but now he is rolling around all over the place trying to touch me. I know he doesn't want to hurt me, but I'm a little nervous about what his plans are.

I have tried to play with him a few times, but he just sits there and laughs at me. Doesn;t he know how to play chase? Seriously if he can roll, he can run after me.

We are all okay. My mommy had a tough pregnancy and had to deliver 5 weeks early. Anthony Jr spent some time in NICU, but is doing great now. I'm still trying to deal with this new person in the house, sometimes I really don't like sharing my mommy.

I will try to make my mommy find time to start blogging again for me. I really miss all of you.

My Afternoons

Since my daddy works nights but is home during the day. Depending on the weather I go for walks with my daddy. Then when mommy gets home in the afternoon, I am so tired all I can do is wait for dinner.
Then after a nice dinner I lay on my mommys bed, in the sunlight, making sure nobody gets to close to our condo. I now have 2 and 1/2 humans to protect. Daddy gets home at night and since mommy can't sleep much we get up when daddy gets home. I get midnight kisses and belly rubs and then go back to sleep. Life is good in the Balboa household.

Though I have one question. What in the hell is my mommy doing?????? Can you see me behind her, I am so confused. Sometimes she is so weird.

Hi my friends.

I am so sorry for the long abscense. I'm been very busy helping my mommy clean and get ready for the human baby. Mommy is now 6 months pregnant, she's taking up more room, but eating a lot.... which means more food for me.

I can't wait to meet little human... which mommy calls "the baby".

But rest assured mommy and daddy will still have plenty of love, hugs, kisses, treats, and bed space for me. How could she resist this adorable face.

Eventually I'll make it to everyone's blogs to see how you are all doing.

It is so nice to get x-mas cards in the mail and email everyday from all my doggie friends. I just wish stupid Kodak would send my cards already. We ordered them on Nov 30th and they ARE STILL NOT HERE!!!!!!

This is what I think of Kodak!

Mommy is afraid they won't arrive to our friends in other countries in time for the Holidays. We can't even email the cards out till we get one in the mail to scan!

Next time we will order from a different place!!! Where do you all order your cards from??????

Mommy is 9 weeks and 2 days preggo today, but this photo is of my little brother or sister at 7 weeks 6 days. I can't wait to have a little human brother or sister, I will protect him/her and give her/him lots of kisses and cuddles.

Mommy said that I may be able to hear the heartbeat when the baby gets a little bigger, since doggie ears hear EVERYTHING.

Sorry I have not been posting, but everything is OKAY. In fact things are really good here right now, but I am not allowed to tell any of you yet what it is. Hopefully mommy will let me tell you real soon.

We ordered the x-mas cards and will send them out as soon as we get them from CVS. This year's x-mas card is all about me!!!! We will email them to our "email only" friends very soon.

Well, I destroyed it. While mommy was ignoring me I got mad and attacked the bed with my strong jaws.

I killed the zipper part and chewed it so bad that mommy won't let me use it anymore. She is afraid that I will eat the inside. I guess I won't be getting the bigger now.

Hey I can't be held responsible for being a dog. Maybe she shouldn't have ignored me to use the bathroom.

what I did on mommy and daddy's day off

So mommy and daddy were off from work (yes another day). I am sooooo lucky!!!!!!

I like to spy on mommy and let her know I can see her.

Then out of no where, I jump up on the couch........

and demand to know what she is eating!

Sometimes sticking my nose right up against her mouth gets me food and other times I get an ice cube. I really like icecubes, espeically when they make the whole couch wet and daddy has no place to sit, hee hee

After a long day of spying on mommy and jumping on the couch, a Frenchie needs his sleep.

Lazy Days

Mommy and daddy were off on Thursday, so we had a chillin' in our pajamas day. (Mommy and daddy had a wedding to attend yesterday so mommy is FINALLY posting this, I told you she was lazy!)

While they were relaxing, I made a few phones to tell people not to bother us, cause we were chilling.

After I made all those calls, I deserved some sprite.

Mean mommy let me lick the can, but not have a sip. Isn't that rude?

We were having such a lazy day, that mommy fell asleep on the couch. I wanted to cuddle but she just kept sleeping..... what should I do????

Well, I woke her up, so she could cuddle with me. Isn't that what mommys are for?

Daddy got jealous, and wanted some Balboa lovin'. He gives good kisses.

So, I had to give my daddy some lovin' back.

After a while the couch got crowded, so I chilled out on a new bed my mommy got. I'm still trying to get used to it, since its really fluffly and smushy. I only laid on part of it, its so smushy that my arms sunk right it.....

I'm clearly a boy dog, I have boy parts, I have a boy name, EVERYONE KNOWS I'M A BOY, so why would mommy buy me a pink toy???????

Can you see the pink elephant? Are elephants pink? I've never seen one, so I'm curious?

Not that I want to give it back, its squeaky and bouncy and I like playing with it, BUT I"M NOT A GIRL!!!!!!!!!!!

I also got a new food stand, mommy said the old one was getting icky, she thought this fit in better with her "decor" what ever that is and is easier to clean. As long as I get food and water I don't care. My mommy took a picture of it without the food bowl, she does things backwards.

Do know what that is behind me, supposedly its an electric fireplace. All i know is that it blows out hot air, so I was sitting down infront of it to catch the heat. Why can't mommy put it on the couch so I could get a comfy seat and lots of heat?!?!?!?!?

So, mommy said she had some things to take care of, but I call it plain laziness!

This is what I think of my lazy mommy.

Mommy and daddy are very happy and healthy, (just lazy). Mommy is feeling better and is surrounding herself with positive people whom she can be herself around. I think my mommy is a lot happier, and daddy is happy that mommy is happy.

So, what have I been up to, well, right now I am on leaf duty. Those damn evil leaves are back and they're everywhere. They need to be destroyed. I try to kill and eat each one of them, but as soon as I turn around there are more jumping around!!!!!! What am I gonna do?

Hey all my furry buddies, so sorry I haven't been around. Everything is okay, we are all safe and healthy.

So much has gone on, I don't even know where to begin, but first I will tell you that there must be a punishment for my stupid mommy keeping me from all my friends. Not only did I not get to post, but I haven't been able to check out your blogs. BOY, do I have a lot of work ahead of me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Mommy is still fasinated with me sleeping, I just don't get it????? Even when I try and hide under beds, she still has to take a picture of me. I guess this is what celebrities go through.

Maybe I should start demanding that she pay for the pictures.

We had the old crummy and yucky carpets removed and now have this stupid wood on the floor. MOmmy thinks its wonderful and is buying rugs to cover different areas of house. She says different rugs for differnet areas makes the place look bigger. All I know is that she is NUTS and EVIL for expecting me to walk and run on wood floors as we wait for more area rugs to arrive.

We are waiting for the living room rugs to come of course they are back ordered till the end of the summer! I can't wait for them to come, walking on wood floors SUCKS!

My EVIL PARENTS went camping this weekend and left me at the vet prison. How rude are they??????? THEN...... they are both working during the on Tuesday (today) so I have to stay at the prison all day until they can come pick me up. I will be pooping all over the house when I get home!!!!!!!

While I'm imprisoned at the vet's I was able to sneak on the computer, remember the stupid crate mommy is trying to get me to use, when I trying it out BUT only for a few minutes. Mommy thinks this is permanent she IS WRONG.

I've been VERY BAD

Mommy's mad at me, I've been peeing in the house lately. Whenever I get a chance I pee pee in the bedrooms and a few times on her pillows. I know its wrong, I just can't help it!!!!!!

Mommy used to let me chill in the bedroom when she was at work, but now she is thinking about putting me back in the crate. I DON'T LIKE THE CRATE, but she doesn't know what else to do. She keeps trying to trick me into getting treats out of the crate and calling it my "house", but I'm not stupid. I'll eat the treats but I AIN'T GOING TO BE LOCKED IN THERE. She says it's for my safety and protection, I AIN'T BUYIN' IT!!!!

She keeps my special bed in the bedroom, so I can't sleep on it on the couch...... she's forcing me to sleep in the crate BUT I AIN'T DOING IT!!!!!!

Balboa's mommy here: I've been putting treats and toys in the crate and giving him rewards for sitting in there, but he just seems terrified of it, it's like he's afraid of being locked away from me forever. I can't even get him to explore it on his own, and he explores EVERYTHING. I thought it would be good to retrain him and have a safe place for him to go when we can not be at home, but I think he is JUST TOO STUBBORN!!!!!!!.

Treated Unfairly

Sometimes mommy can be sooooo mean.

I can't sleep without pictures being taken of me.

The side of my face is raw from constant kisses.

I don't get refills on peanut butter in my chew chew. look at my sad face, wouldn't you WANT to give me more peanut butter.

the camera is always in my face.

I have to eat the treats off the couch instead of mommy feeding me each one.

THE CAMERA IS ALWAYS IN MY FACE!

I don't get a new toy everyday, so when I DO GET A NEW TOY, its a BIG deal.

Some would say I'm spoiled, but I just think I deserve some respect and royal treatment. What do you all think?

Feeling Better and Stupid Flashlight

My mommy is starting to feel better, thanks for your comments. Whenever my mommy is sad, giving her kisses till she starts laughing is always a good sign.

Today we played with the flashlight, I can never get that stupid flashlight, but ONE DAY I WILL.

Here I'm trying to find a way to climb the wall and get that light.

What, how did he get here so fast?????

My mommy has a stupid addiction to coffee, she says its so good. Well if she loves me and wants to really spoil me than she should give ME some of this coffee, don't you all agree?

My Mommy

Thanks for all the well wishes for my mommy, she's starting to feel better. Everyone around her is having babies and she's having a hard time being strong. Mommy just doesn't like to tell people because they give her advice or tell her stories, that only makes her feel worse. A friend told her its okay to feel sad, its okay to mourn, its okay to treat me like her baby! I told mommy she can vent to me all she wants, I'll always listen and give her love big wet kisses.

I find that sleeping on mommy's legs makes her feel better. She asked me to cut out her face since she said it was her "I just woke up" face.

On Thursday we'll announce the winner of the caption game from two weeks ago and post another caption using a photo of Amber-Mae and Faith, it's a good one!

Mommy helped keep a doggie from running into the street. Sometimes we see this litte dude on our walks around the condo, he came walking near our street towards the woods. Mommy and I were chilling on the bench when all of a sudden we hear the woman scream and call the dude's name, mommy got up thinking the worst. We saw the doggie running away toward the middle of the road. Mommy and got down on her knees and called the doggie over in a playful voice and I got into a play stance. The doggie came right over to her. The woman was so happy mommy and I were there to help her catch her doggie. Mommy was happy the doggie came to her and didn't run towards the street. The woman said she always takes him off the leash and he never runs away until today. Mommy told daddy she would NEVER NEVER NEVER take me off the leash. I'm glad she doesn't, I might run away to play and get lost or meet a mean human.

Life is Good

I just love catching the sun's rays.... my only complaint its that the sun keeps moving and soon it goes away.

Mommy still gives me homemade food, but now she adds dry food to it. This way she can save money (cuz she's cheap). Though I must say I really like how the two types of food taste together.

Plus I've been getting these really tasty treats.

I scratch and scratch at the closet door until I get a treat. Mommy says I can only get treats once a day, (cuz she's mean).

Taking Care of Business

Mommy had some things to take care of and I had to help her. We are all okay, but glad to get back to our DWB family. So now I have big job ahead of me getting caught up on everyone's blog, but it will be done.

When I wasn't helping mommy take care of business.... I was sleeping and cuddling on the couch.

I also have a new favorite chew toy, mommy got it from the vet's office. She threw out the packaging, so I don't know the name............ but I'll find out. mommy likes it because I can't (no matter how hard I try) to eat the outter hard shell. There is a peanut butter like filling inside and when that faded mommy added real peanut butter.

It's very heavy and hard, but I found a way to hold it up and CHEW it. I used an old tire toy (there used to be a rope inside, but I destroyed it) it now makes a good chew toy holder.

HMMMMM.................. I love this chew chew

When I wasn't chewing, sleeping, or helping mommy, I was playing with my daddy. I love when I get all smushed up underneath him, I feel so safe and warm.

Daddy's stinky feet were bothering me AGAIN.......... so I had to teach those stinky feet a lesson.

After attacking stinky feet, a long rest was in order! Even though daddy's feet stink, he's a great cuddler. I love my daddy.

I really hate the snow!!!!!! But mommy thinks its funny to take pics of me in the snow, I hope she falls on her butt.

1. When I sleep in my mommy and daddy's bed, I get up numerous times during the night and put my nose right next to mommys and wake her up to let her know I want to go under the cover, sometimes I scare her, hee hee.

2. I like to sneak into the bathroom garbage and chew on the tissues with boogies, they are just so delicious.

3. I like to be chased around the house while I carry a toy in my mouth. Its so much fun.

4. When mommy is on the computer too long I stand up and put try to pull her hands away from the keyboard to get her to play or cuddle with me.

5. When its time for bed at night, I sometimes run away from mommy cause I don't want to go to bed, OTHER times I will run right into the bedroom if I know I'm gonna get a treat.

6. I'm selfish when it comes to my toys, I CAN'T HELP IT. If I see mommy's hand going toward one of my toys I run to get it away from her then go back to the toy I was playing with!

7. I like to sleep on mommy's lap while she watches TV, and if both mommy and daddy are on the couch I like to sleep while touching both of them.

Mommy took down all the cards I got from my DWB friends. Mommy and Daddy say they can't reach any of the books, CDs, or DVDs. But we all know the truth..... they're just JEALOUS, JEALOUS, JEALOUS.

My Christmas Eve...

I spent the day with Grandma Lorraine's family, they were opening Christmas Crackers. There were lots of cool little toys inside the crackers, but did I get any???? NOPE!!!!

1. When my mommy goes to work in the morning, I get to sleep on her bed. I haven't been in my crate for a long time. (Mommy's thinking about putting the crate away).

2. I love sleeping on my new bed on the couch. It's very comfy and keeps me warm.

3. I know where mommy keeps the treats, so I scrape at the closet door until it mommy comes and gives me treats. (I have her trained so she comes right away and gives me treats)

4. If there is any garbage in the bathroom waste basket, I sneak in and try to eat it. Those tissues are just so yummy!

5. When I want a belly rub, I'll roll around on the floor and grunt like a pig. Mommy and daddy always come over right away!

6. Daddy has to hide when he puts socks on his feet, cause I want to eat them and get very angry when he won't let me.

7. When mommy comes home, she has to give me kisses on my cheek and THEN I will kiss her, then she has to give me more kisses.

8. I love to be chased around the house, sometimes mommy will try and trick me and run the other way. Of course, I'm too smart and always get away, hee hee

I don't like going to bed at night. I love sleeping next to mommy, the not the FACT that I have to go to bed. So mommy sometimes lures me into the bedroom with a slice of cheese. I love cheese, I'll do anything for cheese!

So I get excited and run into the bedroom and STUPID mommy starts walking to the bedroom and she kicks me into the wall. I'm pissed to say the least, but I want the CHEESE. She's trying to apologize and see if I'm okay, JUST GIVE ME THE CHEESE!!!!!

Then she expects me to eat the cheese on my own off the paper towel. OH NO, you better pick up that cheese and feed me in little pieces!!!!

I am glad we decided to let Daddy pick the winner each week, boy it was a hard decision for daddy~they're all so good! I would not AND could not choose between my friends. Daddy doesn't know any of the doggies so he doesn't feel bad choosing only one dog, he just reads the captions and chooses the best one, in his opinion. Mommy and me think they're all great.

Turkey Day- Take Two

Last week I wrote about how I celebrated an Early Turkey Day. I had so much fun at my Grandma Lorraine and Grandpa Tony's house for Turkey Day.

As soon as I got to the house, Lorraine gave me a huge biscuit. She loves me!!!! It was soooo good.

HMMMM, sooooo goooood.

Grandma Lorraine's neighbor Jeanette came over, she had some minor surgery, so I made sure I gave her lots of love and attention. Nothing heals you better than a dog's love!!!!

I just love to cuddle with EVERYONE!!!!!, Grandpa Tony is a super cool cuddler.

Early Turkey Day

So, On Saturday we had Thanksgiving with my mommy's family (they're going to Atlantic City on Turkey Day).

First I relaxed near Ray's legs.

Then I sat on Ray's lap (on his recliner)

Then when he got up, I sat on the recliner all by myself, he it's mine NOW!!!!

Ray had a big turkey to cut up.

He let me taste test a LOT of pieces.....

MMMMMM..... just so good!

Then mean mommy said I couldn't get any more until dinner time, so I went on protest.

I'm not coming out until I get more turkey!!!!

WOW, Look at all this food!!!!!! Aren't I lucky I get to celebrate two Turkey Days!

After all that taste testing and eating, I decided to take a nap. I found the perfect place, Ray's lap while he massaged my neck. AHHHHHH This is the life!

Hey, dude this is my seat, I'm holding it for Ray so BACK OFF!!!!!!

I've been playing with daddy,

I like climbing on daddy, he makes these weird noises when I climb on his tummy. Mommy says he needs to toughen up.

Daddy said he smelled something funny, then he said I farted in his face.

He said it smelled really bad.

Does this look like the face of doggy who would fart in someone's face???????

After all that playing around, I got so tired and had to take a beauty rest. I have to keep up my looks for Fig.

But then, I'm sooooo cute mommy just has to forgive me. When mommy goes to work in the morning, I love to cuddle up on her side of the bed and sleep.

Beverly, recently adopted FBRN graduate, got away from her pet sitter during a walk after dark last night, 10/13/07. Her new owner flew home immediately, and has been papering his neighborhood in The Heights area with flyers and advertisements.
